Keith M Levinson O.D., a lifelong resident of NJ, is a graduate of Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, Tennessee. SCO, a highly competitive optometry school, is considered by many to have the best clinical program in the world. Throughout his career, Dr. Levinson has taken particular interest in sports vision and treating ocular disease/ injuries. He is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and routinely participates in continuing education programs.
“Dr. Keith” has successfully completed two externships, first at the Naval Health Clinic of New England, in Newport, RI. There he worked with Dr. Seldon O.D. and noted eye surgeon Dr. (Commander) Octavio Borges in providing primary eye care and traumatic injury treatments to military personnel and their families. Dr. Keith completed his second externship in Stowe, Vermont where he focused on primary care as well as geriatric care and ocular disease.
Dr. Keith takes pride in serving his community in as many ways as possible. He was promoted to 5th degree black belt in Isshinryu karate in August 2019, and teaches classes to kids and adults. He has also spent time teaching self defense seminars at college campuses. Dr. Keith also combined his optometric knowledge with his interest in animation and created a lecture series on visual perception in anime, presenting it at numerous conventions. Dr. Levinson sits as a board member A.V.G.C. which runs video game shows designed to help spread the benefits and joy gaming can bring to the community.
